Adam Rhude was born and raised in the village of Cotuit on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He earned a B.F.A. in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After college, he moved to New York City where he continued his artistic training in a traditional vein. He studied drawing and painting at the Water Street Atelier (now called: Grand Central Atelier) under Jacob Collins and Michael Grimaldi and at the Art Students League under portrait artist Ron Sherr.

Adam Rhude has won awards from the Portrait Society of America and is represented by Tree’s Place in Orleans, MA. He has private collectors throughout the U.S. and Europe, and his work is in the collection of the Cahoon Museum of American Art (Cotuit, MA). He lives on Cape Cod with his wife and two sons in the town of Falmouth.
